Provoking Leadership. April 30-May 3, 2026. Lethbridge AB.

With the theme, Provoking Leadership, this year’s Chinook Winds Regional Gathering invites us to pause and ask a simple but demanding question: What is being asked of us now? Rooted in the words of Hebrews 10:23-24, Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, we will reflect together on leadership that calls us forward, challenges us to grow, and reminds us that none of this ministry is meant to be done alone.

The Chinook Winds Regional Council will meet at Southminster United Church, Lethbridge. AB. The meeting begins mid-afternoon on Thursday, April 30 and wraps up with the Celebration of Ministry Worship on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Registrants can participate in-person or online. Regional Representatives, Ministry Personnel and visitors can register HERE. In-person registration closes on April 7, 2026. Meals are not guaranteed for late registrations.

In-person children and youth programming will happen alongside the meeting. Please see information about the children and youth programs below, including how you can support the young people’s participation and registration.

A financial update will be held online on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 with Finance Chair Sue Brodrick and Treasurer John Den Hoed. You can sign up for the financial presentation through the meeting registration.

Thanks to Southern Alberta Japanese United Church (SAJUC), you are invited to visit Lethbridge’s Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens on April 30 at 1 pm, before the Regional Meeting begins. This will include a guided tour of the gardens as well as a historical talk with Rev. Dr. Tad Mitsui and Dr. Kathryn Yamashita. Sign up in the registration form.

Children & Youth

Children and Youth Programing

First Third Ministry is prepared to offer dynamic children and youth programs for ages 5 to 14 alongside the Regional Gathering! These fun and engaging sessions will run at the same time as the main event and provide a chance for young people to connect, learn, and build friendships with others from across Central and Southern Alberta.

Participants will be divided into two age groups (if numbers allow) for the daytime programming. Children will return to their parents or guardians for the evenings.

We need your help to make this happen! We can only host these programs if adults like you commit to bringing children and youth to participate. When registering, please consider bringing your children or teenagers, or a young person from your community of faith. Let's create a vibrant, intergenerational gathering where young voices are celebrated and new friendships blossom!
