To highlight Chinook Winds Region’s important camping ministries, First Third Ministry Ministry and the four United Church Camps collaborated on a series of seven videos, two of which premiered at the March 22, 2023 Town Hall. The videos are part of the Camping Sunday 2023 Worship Resource.

     Representatives of Canyon Church, Kasota West, Kasota East and Bar Harbour were present to talk about summer plans.

     Camping Sunday ~ April 24, 2022

       Camping is one of the biggest youth ministries in our denomination. Each summer thousands of children and youth come together to be in relationship in community, with Creation, and with Creator God at their United Church camp.
       Camp is a place where young people are welcomed as they are and encouraged to wonder and deepen into their connection to the environment and respect for creation. Camp is a place to be creative and engage in questions about our everyday lives and the mystery of the Holy. It’s a place where young leaders are nurtured and mentored in their leadership skills and abilities.
     We celebrate and give thanks for the ministry of outdoor camps. Below, you’ll find information on the United Church camps that are in our Region or nearby.
