This is an unprecedented moment in the history of Alberta as our province moves towards a 10-question referendum on Monday, October 19, 2026. It requires a faithful response that is nonpartisan and pastoral, and also prophetic. 

As promised, our referendum guide and resource kit, Called to Engage: A Faith-Based Guide for the Alberta Referendum, is now available for you. It is a compilation of faith-based and researched commentaries on the referendum questions as well as worship resources. The resource is designed as a starting point for faithful conversations within communities as we engage during this critical time for our province and country.  

You are encouraged to use this document as the basis of conversations in your congregations and communities and to share it with your congregations and with friends and neighbours. 

The guide is also informed by the community conversations that are happening across our region and province.
