New Vocational Minister to step into role mid-March 2025

Cari Copeman-Haynes

The Office of Vocation is pleased to announce that the Reverend Cari Copeman-Haynes will be joining the Office of Vocation team as the Vocation Minister for Pacific Mountain and Chinook Winds Regional Councils. Cari will begin in her role part-time in mid-March 2025 and will overlap for two weeks with Rev. Lillian Roberts, who is currently the Acting Vocation Minister accompanying the Mountain Candidacy Board. On May 1, 2025 she will assume the role fully.
Cari is grateful to have journeyed in spiritual leadership with two vibrant, faithful and courageous congregations in almost 27 years of ministry. As she now turns to a new expression of ministry, she is looking forward to supporting the discernment and excellence in the practice of ministry of candidates for ministry and colleagues. Cari and her partner Rob raised their family in Delta, BC, and enjoy connecting with their adult children. Cari is also a singer and lover of music, a daily steps devotee, and an occasional knitter. A life-long learner, Cari trusts that God will provide the grace needed as she transitions into the new role, and develops relationships with colleagues in the Office of Vocation and both regional councils. She is honoured to have been invited into this position of trust and responsibility in The United Church of Canada, and by the grace of God will bring her full presence and complement of spiritual gifts to the role.

Please join us in welcoming Cari to her new role
