During Reconciliation Month and Truth and Reconciliation Day weekend, several events took place across Chinook Winds Region. Thank you for the care so many took to organize these events and work collaboratively.
These words from Indigenous Minister Tony Snow after Truth and Reconciliation Day weekend: “It was good to share time and stories this weekend. Stories of resiliency, songs of hope. We gathered in many places with observances showing a greater awareness and willingness to engage. This is intergenerational work and will not be solved in a single meeting or a single service. It is the work of behavioural change in our communities and in our institutions.”
