A motion has been authorized by Chinook Winds Region to support approvals by financial institutions for Communities of Faith applying for the Canada Emergency Business Account. You can download the approval motion HERE

  Early this month Finance Minister Bill Morneau announced the Canada Emergency Business Account, a $40,000 guaranteed loan aimed to ensure small businesses and non-profits continue operations in the midst of the pandemic. The United Church of Canada’s Chief Financial Officer Erik Mathiesen has indicated that details of the Federal program continue to evolve, but local Communities of Faith should be in touch with their financial institution as soon as possible to open discussion on obtaining the Federally-guaranteed $40,000 financing.
