We’re excited that General Council 44 is coming to Chinook Winds Region and will be meeting in Calgary, July 21 to 25 in 2021, at the Telus Convention Centre. It sounds like a long time into the future, but we are already at work on local arrangements for the nuts and bolts of organizing a meeting to which we will welcome about 500 people from across the United Church!
We’d love for you to be involved too. We need many volunteers in the areas of hospitality, transportation, welcoming, stewards, and care of participants, to name a few. Please sign up for being a volunteer HERE
You may also want to check out the guidelines document that the General Council Office has put together to help us get the Local Arrangements Committee in place.
Please take a prayerful look through these pages to determine if there is an area to which your gifts lead you. We need many volunteers to make this gathering a success. We’re counting on you to make it happen.
We’ll bring you regular updates on our progress, and in the meantime, we ask for your prayer and support. If you already have some idea about where you’d like to be involved, we’d love to hear from you. This is a massive task, but I have absolute faith in the people of Chinook Winds to step up to it!
